Common scams that target travellers

The link below provides a comprehensive list of scams (sometimes called social engineering) that are designed specifically to target travellers.  Whilst the majority of these are aimed at tourists, many also catch out unwary business travellers.  Researching your destination, using trusted or recommended transport and accommodation providers, minimising time spent on foot and not advertising wealth or valuable items in your possession (including mobile devices) will greatly reduce your chances of falling victim to a scam.
